ODOO AI WORKFLOW GUIDE

Start with one useful AI workflow.

A smaller, well-defined task is easier to evaluate than an assistant expected to do everything. Choose work your team understands, decide what the system may do and measure whether the result is useful before expanding access.

A support queue can reveal a useful starting point for assistance.Odoo

WHEN THE WORK FEELS HARDER THAN IT SHOULD

Choose the simplest approach that fits.

A rule may be enough

Use a deterministic rule when the trigger and action are clear. Routing a known request does not automatically require a language model.

Native assistance may fit

Review the AI features available in your installed Odoo environment. The required applications, plan and data access need to match the intended task.

A custom agent needs an owner

Custom behavior adds responsibility for tools, permissions, evaluation, usage and recovery. Scope these alongside the feature, not after it is built.

THE WORK MADE VISIBLE

Define the pilot before selecting the tool.

For example, a support team might evaluate suggested replies drawn from approved guidance. That is an illustrative pilot, not a claim about a deployed NMG product. Start with suggestions reviewed by a person before considering broader actions.

DELIVERABLES TO AGREE IN YOUR SCOPE

  • A single task, owner and measurable acceptance criteria
  • Approved data sources and a clear action-permission boundary
  • An evaluation set, exception path and review cadence

APPROACH AT A GLANCE

  1. 01
    TASK

Choose a repeatable piece of work

Pick a task with enough examples to judge results. Record the current process and the specific delay or error you want to address.

  2. 02
    BOUNDARY

Decide what may happen without approval

Name permitted sources and actions. Keep consequential commitments, pricing changes and external messages under defined human review during the pilot.

  3. 03
    EVIDENCE

    Measure results on realistic examples

Check usefulness, factual accuracy, exceptions and operating cost. Include ambiguous and incomplete inputs. Expand only when the agreed acceptance criteria are met.

A CLEAR PATH FORWARD

Understand the work.
Agree the next step.

01

Start with your situation

Tell us what your team needs to do, where work gets stuck and which decisions are approaching.

02

Review the evidence together

We examine the relevant setup, responsibilities and constraints before recommending a direction.

03

Agree a practical next step

Leave with a defined next conversation or a scoped assessment, rather than an open-ended commitment.

Brand. Digital. AI. One system.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Clear expectations make better working relationships.

Scope, responsibilities and success criteria belong in the conversation from the start.

Does Odoo already have AI agents?

Odoo 19 documentation describes agents with topics, tools and sources. Creating and customizing agents requires the AI application. Actual capabilities depend on your installed version, applications and configuration.

Can an agent safely do everything a user can do?

Do not start with that assumption. Give the pilot only the access it needs, test its behavior and define approvals for consequential actions. Access permission alone does not establish reliable performance.

How quickly can we prove the value?

Timing depends on the task, data readiness, integration needs and evaluation scope. Agree a small pilot and a measurable outcome before committing to a broader rollout.
